As I said at our first meeting I would like to devote as much time as possible at our weekly training sessions focusing on football and developing a system of play that best suits the squad.
You will also be well aware that we need to continuously work on our fitness - I would say most of our competitors are training already and do so twice a week
.

  Each squad member will be asked to put in a little eaxtra running  once a week (or as often as you like) seperate to our training sessions. I have outlined a circuit at New Village which comprises 3 laps of both pitches that equates to approx 1 mile. The running can be done anywhere that is convenient. I  will set target times - probably an average of the ten fastest players. We will assess players a couple of times between now and the end September at New Village and the focus will be on achieving improved times while getting as many as possible of the squad achieving the targets set. My guess at this stage is:

3 Laps/1 Mile in  5 to 5.5 mins???
